G Cloud procurement

The G-Cloud framework is an agreement between the government and suppliers who provide cloud-based services. G-Cloud provides a streamlined and easy to call off mechanism for investing in the technology that you need and will enable you to minimise procurement cost, time and complexity.

Abavus is an accredited supplier on G-Cloud 10 and we have been consistently present as a supplier on this framework for the last 5 years.

G-Cloud services are split up into 3 categories. These are often described as ‘lots’:

  • Cloud hosting – for example, the provision of content delivery networks or load balancing services
  • Cloud software – for example, the delivery of accounting tools or customer service management software
  • Cloud support – for example, the execution of migration services or ongoing support

Abavus is accredited in two of the current G Cloud lots.

Cloud Software

Suppliers provide applications that are accessed over the internet and hosted in the cloud. Buyers only need to pay for what they use. This is where you will be able to find the My Council Services cloud-based software products.

Cloud Support

Suppliers provide services to help buyers set up and maintain their cloud services. We provide a full range of professional services, training and consulting services to ensure that your Council’s implementation of My Council Services is ready for you to put to work. You will find our training, consulting and development services in the G-Cloud Cloud Support lot.
