Bournemouth Borough Council has been using My Council Services since November 2011. Abavus worked closely with the Business Transformation Team, IT and selected Service Directorates to enable Bournemouth to implement the foundations of what has become a growing and strategic customer channel. Bournemouth has always had a very clear vision for how it leverages the mobile channel based on the My Council Services platform.

Bournemouth views mobile as a key part of its wider Customer Transformation Programme because it enables:

My Council Services was chosen because it can be locally themed whilst also working nationally; it offers two way communication with customers; it integrated with Bournemouth’s existing CRM (Lagan) and it enables the possibility of mobile working for council officers.
